Staying Attentive During a Trial – September 24, 2018

During this week’s episode of the #BehindtheLaw Podcast, radio host Joe Daily asks Attorney Dennis R. Vetrano, “During a trial, if you don’t object to something, as the lawyer, and the judge observes this, does the judge object for you or just wait to see if anything happens?”

Your level of attention needs to be sharp during a trial. If you allow a question to be asked and then answered, your right to object to the initial question is now gone. That testimony has already made it’s way to the record.
